July 12 4th of July PartySo my mom wanted to surprise me for my birthday and invited all of my family that is still around to their house for a cookout and fireworks just like old times when I was little. I can remember going to Grandma's house and hanging out with my cousin's swimming in those little plastic pools you could buy for like $5 and shooting off fireworks. I will have to dig some of those pictures out and add to my albums for reminiscing. Anyway, my Uncle Philip and Aunt Donna and their oldest son Phil came. My Uncle Leroy and Aunt Jarie was there. My Grandpa and his wife Peggy was there. Even my Mother and Father in law showed up to celebrate. We had a really good time. The kids had a blast shooting off their day works that we bought them. Then when it was night time the big kids did those.
One of the day works that I got for them was a parachute thingy that shot out like 100 parachutes at the same time and you have to chase them down. I tried to get a picture of the yard where most of them landed, but it didn't turn out very good. So you will see a picture of Bug and my sister holding parachutes and that is what they were from. It was hilarious. The whole sky was full of parachutes in all different colors. I tried to get good pictures of the night works this year, but they didn't turn out very well. So I didn't put them on there.
I think that pretty much sums up my life thus far. Got a busy day scheduled for today, Bridal shower at 2:00, birthday party at 6:00, games at 6:45 and 8:30. WHEW!!!! Talk to ya soon. HUGS!!!! Good NewsWell This takes us back to June 27th. They called all of us Temp empolyees in one by one to let us know whether they were going to hire us on full time or not. I was one that was accepted. YEAH. So starting June 30th I became a full time employee. No more worrying about whether or not I would have a job. I can't even describe the weight that was lifted off of my shoulders. For almost the previous two weeks I hadn't been able to eat. I was really sick to my stomach. I was real quiet and definately not myself. On top of that we had 8 ball games a week with the last one being at 8:30 at night and not getting home until almost 11:30 some nights. Then back up to go to work in the morning. The moment that my boss said that I was getting hired I felt like myself again and man was I hungry LMAO!!!! I probably ate all day the rest of that day. That was working out to be a pretty good weight loss plan.
Anyway so I now am working from 11:00 to 8:00 at night. It kinda sucks to not be home in the evenings, but at least I can see the kids before they head out the door for school. They are saying that as we rebid jobs over time I may be able to get my 8-5 back or something close to it. So I will be keeping my fingers crossed.
Well, that's all for this one. Time to move on to 4th of July. July 07 BIG PARTY!!!!Okay, so I am going to start with the weekend of June 21st. I threw Bug and I a birthday party. Her birthday is on 06/22/08 and mine is on the 4th of July. She turned 6 this year and I am now the big "30". I hear that the 30's are better than the twenties. SO BRING IT ON!!!!! People keep asking me why i'm not upset. I guess cause I had to grow up fast getting married young and having kids early. I will party hard after the kids are gone. WHOOPIE!!!!!
Anyway, the party was fun. We did a cookout potluck style. The theme of the party was Tropical Paradise. A lady that I work with showed me how to make mexican flowers out of tissue paper. They turned out really cute. I didn't get any pictures of them though. After the dinner we opened presents and had cake. Then we all went up to the pool for a pool party. NOW THAT WAS A MESS!!!
I tried to call them about 10 minutes till to let them know we were on our way, just running a little late, but no-one answered. I kept thinking to myself "I know I am not going to get there and there won't be anyone there" Sure enough, we show up and it is empty. No manager, no life guards. NOTHING. I was not happy. I called everyone that I could think of to get the number for the pool manager. Luckily there was a game going on at the ball field and I was able to talk to the director of the recreation commission who then contacted the manager of the pool and they had no record of me renting it for a party. I had scheduled the party 3 weeks prior and made sure exactly how much, how many people allowed and how much extra for each person over that limit. I had scheduled the party with the pool manager, but she was adamant that she didn't talk to me. I was like whatever. I didn't pay anything for the party and we still got it for 2 hours from 8:30 to 10:30. We didn't stay that long cause it was getting cool outside and the water wasn't that warm. The kids all had fun though.
OH YEAH, except for the fact that "J" almost drowned in the deep end becuase the lifeguard that was sitting in the chair was too busy facing the other direction talking to someone else and not paying attention. Luckily my BIL was there and jumped in and grabbed him. It wasn't until they had him out of the water and he was lying on the concrete trying to catch his breath that the life guard noticed something and almost looked concerned. I WAS NOT AT ALL HAPPY about that. I made sure that the director of the pool heard about that and the fact that the rest of the time, the other life guard when he was sitting in the chair decided to have bag of sunflower seeds in one hand and a cup to spit them in in the other. He was not watching the pool either. Anyway needless to say we won't be having a party there again anytime soon.
Okay so I think that is enough for one entry. I will do more later.
HUGS!!!!
I'm ALIVE!!!!Really I am, you are just going to have to trust me on this one. My life is finally in balance (for the most part) and i will have much much much more time to spend on here (which i will need to catch back up with all of you) Don't you guys know that your world was suppose to stop while i was away LMAO. Anyway, this one is going to be short, but i wanted to let you all know to check back soon, cause I have a lot to say. CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
HUGS!!!! May 17 Man oh Man..........I didn't realize that I hadn't been on here in a while. I am still waiting to hear if I am going to be hired on full time. I was told they would know by the end of this month. I am keeping my fingers and my toes crossed in hopes of a full time position.
Last weekend was super crazy busy. Saturday my brother and our foreign exchange student graduted from high school. The ceremony was really good. The cops had to step in a couple times. During the valedictorian speach someone had blown up some beach balls and threw them into the audience and they started hitting them around. They confenscated those. Then when one of the kids went up to get his diploma his whole family had blow horns and they came up behind them and confenscated those too. But other than that it was nice.
Big Daddy's Cousin also gradutated that day so he had gone to that party while I went to my brother's. when it was over I went to the church where his cousin's party was. Then after that was over went back to my mom's to visit with family and friends from out of town and didn't get home until about 12:30.
Sunday morning Wolfeman decided to surprise me with breakfast in bed. It was SOOOOOO sweet, and shall I say not so yummy. He had fixed me frozen waffles and they were still cold. He had forgoten to turn the toaster up to frozen foods. Then he put a rather thick layer of butter (which didn't melt cause the waffles were cold) on top. He then got out a few strawberries and sliced those and put them on top then another layer of waffle, butter and strawberries. Made me a piece of toast and brought me a glass of OJ. He was so proud of himself and I ate almost every bite. I finally made Big Daddy start eating some too. I know that it is the thought that counts and I made him believe that it was the most wonderful thing ever, but I told Big Daddy, now I know what my mom felt like when we made her breakfast in bed. LMAO
Later that afternoon we went to the neighbors for their annual Mother's Day Cookout. Had a lot of yummy food and conversations. My friend Jaime came out with her kids and we hung out that night. Big Daddy finally loaded up the swingset and got it out of our yard and got it ready to take to the neighbors. The kids were kinda upset about it, but I told them they could go over there and swing all they wanted. I just didn't want it in my yard anymore. The kids asked if we could put up the Trampoline and Jaime said "You guys have a trampoline" with a spark in her eye like a kid. I said yes and she started in with the kids. "Big Daddy can we please put up the trampoline". So we got it down out of the attic and put it all together. She was the first one to get up there and jump around. I will have to get those pictures from her and put them on here. it was pretty funny.
This weekend I am just chillin' and kickin back. I rented a bunch of movies and my friend Jaime is coming out to spend the weekend. We are going to clean out the pool and get it ready to be opened. Then sit around and watch movies. I rented Juno, Untraceable, 27 dresses, Over Her Dead Body, and Mad Money.
Anyway, I need to get off here and get going to town to get groceries or we won't have anything to snack on. Have a great weekend all and a great week. I will try not to stay away so long next time. :-) HUGS!!!!!! |
