I like to scrapbook and hang out with friends. I also like to tell it like it is. Some feel offended, but then again I guess they shouldn't have asked for my opinion!!!!

Life or something like it - take 2!!!!

Well right in the middle of my blog my computer just shut off.   So here I am typing it ALLLLLLLLLLL again.   And it was a kinda long one too.   Oh well, here it goes.

A few weeks ago I had applied for another position at work that would allow me to work mon-fri 8-5.  I found out on Monday that I was accepted for the job.    I start on the 27th.   I am really excited to start working my new hours.   It will be a change from sleeping in.  I will have to start getting up early in the mornings again.  Oh well, it will be worth it to be with the family again.  The kids are excited and so is Big Daddy.   He will now have someone here to cook again.   He says he isn't a good cook.  I think it is that he doesn't take the time to try new things to see if he is any good or to even practice.    I told him I didn't come out of the womb cooking, I had to learn too.   He just says it will now be my job.  LOL

I also found out on Wednesday that my cousin had her baby.   I haven't seen any pictures of her yet, but I am hoping to soon.   I also found out later that night that my dad's sister (my aunt) passed away.   She has been battling cancer for several years and now her fight is over.    She is going to be in a better place and finally out of pain.   She will be missed, but I am glad for her that it is over.  I am waiting now to hear all of the funeral details so I know when it will be.

On a brighter note - ball season is almost officially over.   Bug and J both placed 2nd in their league and had their first tournament games last night.   Bugs team won 10 to 5 and J's team won 14-6.   They both have games again tonight and if they lose they will get 3rd in the tournament but if they win they will play again Friday for 1st or 2nd place.   I haven't heard anything on Wolfeman's team on where they placed.   His first tournament game is Monday so I will have more information then.

Well I am going to go for now.  Gotta get ready to ship the kids off to Church Camp so I can go to work.   Talk again soon.

Hugs!!!!

I''m back......

So is blogging really like falling off of a bike?   You just have to get back on and away you go.   I hadn't realized it had been a year since I have been on here.    A lot has happened in that year.   Where to start?????     I guess I will just start from now and I am sure throughout the time I will touch on other things that happened.

My baby sister got married on June 20th.    It was a very nice ceremony.   I will have some pictures on here soon.  I am waiting to get them from her.   They honeymooned in Jamaica and I was very upset that they wouldn't let me go with them.   I told them they had to have someone there to try their drinks for them to make sure they weren't poisoned.   My sister said they could handle it.   They were gone for a whole week.   DAMN that is the kind of vacation I need.

I had plans on July 3rd to spend the day at the lake with a friend of mine from KC, MO, but unfortunately on the 1st I came down with either a case of food poisoning or a stomach virus that was determined to kill me.  I went home at lunch time and stayed home thurs, friday, didn't do much on Saturday (which sucked since it was my birthday) and finally felt better on Sunday by Tuesday I was back to normal.   I did go to the doctor on Thursday cause I needed a note for work and I couldn't keep anything down.   They ended up giving me a shot in both butt cheeks.   MAN did that hurt.   Then the poor excuse of bandaids they put on would not come off.   Here I am in the bathroom getting ready to get in the shower spinning in a circle like a cat chasing his tail trying to pull these damn glued on bandaids off my butt.

I had a brilliant idea to use alcohol to loosen up the sticky stuff.   Yeah that was a big mistake cause that made my whole cheek sticky.   The other one I just grabbed it and yanked and did a nice little dance all the way around the bathroom until it stopped hurting.   I just about pee'd myself it hurt so bad.    Now I know why the kids cry.  I did some of that too.   LOL

Anyway,  Things really are going pretty good for now.  The kids are keeping us busy with ball games.   I am still working 11 am to 8 pm but we have been told that starting Aug 3rd we are going to be closing at 7 pm and come mid July we are going to be re-bidding jobs based on seniority (isn't it wonderful to be UNION).    So basically the lowest ones on the totum pole (AKA Me and the rest who were just hired on last year) are gonna still get the shit jobs.     OH WELL, at least I will be getting home an hour earlier.   The kids will like that.   Believe it or not they actually miss me.   OH RIGHT, they miss the cooking.   Dad doesn't do that.  Anyway I am going to be glad to be home sooner.

Well it is getting late and I am pretty tired.  Gonna call it a night and will update more later.

HUGS!!!!

4th of July Party

So my mom wanted to surprise me for my birthday and invited all of my family that is still around to their house for a cookout and fireworks just like old times when I was little.   I can remember going to Grandma's house and hanging out with my cousin's swimming in those little plastic pools you could buy for like $5 and shooting off fireworks.    I will have to dig some of those pictures out and add to my albums for reminiscing.   Anyway, my Uncle Philip and Aunt Donna and their oldest son Phil came.  My Uncle Leroy and Aunt Jarie was there.   My Grandpa and his wife Peggy was there.  Even my Mother and Father in law showed up to celebrate.   We had a really good time.   The kids had a blast shooting off their day works that we bought them.   Then when it was night time the big kids did those.

One of the day works that I got for them was a parachute thingy that shot out like 100 parachutes at the same time and you have to chase them down.    I tried to get a picture of the yard where most of them landed, but it didn't turn out very good.   So you will see a picture of Bug and my sister holding parachutes and that is what they were from.   It was hilarious.  The whole sky was full of parachutes in all different colors.   I tried to get good pictures of the night works this year, but they didn't turn out very well.   So I didn't put them on there.

I think that pretty much sums up my life thus far.    Got a busy day scheduled for today, Bridal shower at 2:00, birthday party at 6:00, games at 6:45 and 8:30.   WHEW!!!!    Talk to ya soon.  HUGS!!!!

Good News

Well This takes us back to June 27th.   They called all of us Temp empolyees in one by one to let us know whether they were going to hire us on full time or not.   I was one that was accepted.  YEAH.    So starting June 30th I became a full time employee.  No more worrying about whether or not I would have a job.   I can't even describe the weight that was lifted off of my shoulders.   For almost the previous two weeks I hadn't been able to eat.  I was really sick to my stomach.    I was real quiet and definately not myself.  On top of that we had 8 ball games a week with the last one being at 8:30 at night and not getting home until almost 11:30 some nights.  Then back up to go to work in the morning.    The moment that my boss said that I was getting hired I felt like myself again and man was I hungry  LMAO!!!!    I probably ate all day the rest of that day.  That was working out to be a pretty good weight loss plan.

Anyway so I now am working from 11:00 to 8:00 at night.  It kinda sucks to not be home in the evenings, but at least I can see the kids before they head out the door for school.    They are saying that as we rebid jobs over time I may be able to get my 8-5 back or something close to it.  So I will be keeping my fingers crossed.

Well, that's all for this one.   Time to move on to 4th of July.

BIG PARTY!!!!

Okay, so I am going to start with the weekend of June 21st.   I threw Bug and I a birthday party.   Her birthday is on 06/22/08 and mine is on the 4th of July.   She turned 6 this year and I am now the big "30".   I hear that the 30's are better than the twenties.  SO BRING IT ON!!!!!   People keep asking me why i'm not upset.    I guess cause I had to grow up fast getting married young and having kids early.   I will party hard after the kids are gone.  WHOOPIE!!!!!

Anyway, the party was fun.  We did a cookout potluck style.    The theme of the party was Tropical Paradise.   A lady that I work with showed me how to make mexican flowers out of tissue paper.   They turned out really cute.  I didn't get any pictures of them though.  After the dinner we opened presents and had cake.  Then we all went up to the pool for a pool party.   NOW THAT WAS A MESS!!!

I tried to call them about 10 minutes till to let them know we were on our way, just running a little late, but no-one answered.   I kept thinking to myself "I know I am not going to get there and there won't be anyone there"   Sure enough, we show up and it is empty.   No manager, no life guards.  NOTHING.     I was not happy.  I called everyone that I could think of to get the number for the pool manager.  Luckily there was a game going on at the ball field and I was able to talk to the director of the recreation commission who then contacted the manager of the pool and they had no record of me renting it for a party.   I had scheduled the party 3 weeks prior and made sure exactly how much, how many people allowed and how much extra for each person over that limit.   I had scheduled the party with the pool manager, but she was adamant that she didn't talk to me.   I was like whatever.   I didn't pay anything for the party and we still got it for 2 hours from 8:30 to 10:30.  We didn't stay that long cause it was getting cool outside and the water wasn't that warm.    The kids all had fun though.

OH YEAH, except for the fact that "J" almost drowned in the deep end becuase the lifeguard that was sitting in the chair was too busy facing the other direction talking to someone else and not paying attention.   Luckily my BIL was there and jumped in and grabbed him.   It wasn't until they had him out of the water and he was lying on the concrete trying to catch his breath that the life guard noticed something and almost looked concerned.   I WAS NOT AT ALL HAPPY about that.  I made sure that the director of the pool heard about that and the fact that the rest of the time, the other life guard when he was sitting in the chair decided to have  bag of sunflower seeds in one hand and a cup to spit them in in the other.   He was not watching the pool either.   Anyway needless to say we won't be having a party there again anytime soon.

Okay so I think that is enough for one entry.   I will do more later.

HUGS!!!!
